The VANGATER is known for its sturdy construction. The fold-in-half platform is made of rigid steel and has a maximum rated lifting capacity of 600 lbs. But now we've made getting on and off the platform easier than ever with our ground hugging design that sacrifices nothing in ruggedness and reliability. You'll find the improved entry and exit the new platform provides, easy to use. And, when equipped with our optional Side Entry feature, you'll have added maneuverability in tight parking situations. In addition, every VANGATER lift comes equipped with a downstop/brake function feature as standard equipment, offering added control and safety to an already safe lift. Plus, our mounting system speeds up installation time and makes it easier to transfer the lift when you purchase a new full size van.

Like most people, you want your van to offer the most available space possible to you and your passengers. The ultra-compact Vangater II gives everyone more breathing room and riding comfort. That's because the left-mounted single post design, which is positioned toward the rear of the vehicle, creates more usable interior space and offers a clearer side view looking out of the van. If your van has a sofa bed, most applications will allow you to fully deploy it without interfering with the lift.

Our tri-folding platform allows use of 60% of the van's side door for easy ambulatory exit and entry. Plus most front passenger seats can be reclined to nearly their furthest setting. You and your passengers will greatly appreciate the spacious interior afforded by the Vangater II.

Whether you transfer from wheelchair to driver's seat or wheelchair to passenger seat, the 6-way Power Seat Base makes it convenient, easy and can save you valuable time too!!! At the touch of a fingertip, the fully automatic Power Seat Base gives you up to 90 degrees of swivel from the straight ahead position to the transfer position and provides 13.5"(342mm) of smooth front to rear travel and 9"(228mm) of height adjustment. All operations are fully independent giving you complete control and flexibility.

Lift-Aids, Inc. offers either a 4" or 6" drop floor modification to allow the wheelchair occupant additional room at the entry door and additional leg room under the steering wheel for driving from the wheelchair. The EZ Lock power driver tie down secures the wheelchair in place.
